DESCRIPTION:In-person & Virtual Event \n\n\nLocation Note - this General Meeting will be held on the 8th floor.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpeaker: Gustavo “Gus” Hinojosa\, President of HOGAR & DGS Director-At-Large \n\n\n\nTopic: My Journey back to Spain via My Sephardic Roots \n\n\n\n\n“The presentation will talk about the “Alhambra Decree” issued on March 31\,1492 by the Spanish Catholic Monarchs Ferdinand & Isabella\, which required Jews to convert to Catholicism or be expelled from Spain. In 2015 the Spanish Congress passed a resolution\, “Sephardic Ancestry Law”\, which allowed descendants of those Jews forced to convert\, or those who were expelled\, to apply for Spanish citizenship.
