Our current project is transcribing City of Dallas permit books from the early 1900s. This is a fascinating project that helps determine when buildings and homes in Dallas were built.
We are looking for people with some knowledge of deciphering cursive handwriting, basic knowledge of Excel and just a little bit of patience! You would be able to volunteer on your own schedule (and in your fuzzy slippers!) and you can volunteer from ANYWHERE with a computer & internet connection.
After 20 hours of service, you can earn a Dallas Public Library card with FREE access to digital databases and e-resources.
