DPL: Finding your Maternal Ancestral Line using DNA

March 29, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Hybrid Event – in-person and online!

Did you know that there’s a type of DNA that is only passed down from your mother and her mother and your grandmother’s mother? This program from Genealogy Specialist and DNA Expert Mic Barnette will investigate mitochondrial DNA (mt-DNA) – a type of DNA which is passed down from your maternal ancestral line. Learn how to use this type of DNA test along with a little genealogical research to extend your family tree farther back on your maternal line.

Two ways to participate!
