2023 North Texas Giving Day Results

We knew our goal of raising $6,500 in the 2023 North Texas Giving Day campaign was ambitious. However, we are quite satisfied with the results: a (preliminary) total of $3,316. That amount may increase a little if the NTGD bonus comes through.

You may be wondering how I can be so upbeat after not reaching our goal: allow me to explain. First of all, we gain marketing skills and experience every time we participate in the North Texas Giving Day event. We now have a few more members who are familiar with the process and who are ready to make next year’s effort even better.

We also held a successful event at the library on Giving Day (September 21). 10 volunteers were there to help patrons get started with their family trees and see demonstrations of how NewspaperArchive.com and HistoryGeo.com could help them with their research. Vicki and Greg Boyd (the owners of HistoryGeo.com) were also there to provide detailed information about their product to visitors, volunteers, and library staff.
