Spring 2024 Seminar: DGSynergy
by Tony Hanson
syn·er·gy – /ˈsinərjē/ – noun: The combined power of a group of people when they are working together that is greater than the total power achieved by each working separately.
I couldn’t think of a more descriptive term to apply to the group of volunteers who organized and conducted our Spring Seminar with Tom Jones. 151 people registered: 30 participated at the library and 86 participated via Zoom. One comment from our feedback says it all for me:
“My thanks for a very professional, well-organized seminar. I cannot imagine the amount of work it took.”
We all own a huge “Well Done!” to Sharon Bowles (Vice President) and Barbara Coakley (Seminar Administrator) for the superb job they did planning and organizing the event.
We could not have done it without the assistance of our volunteers: Betty Case, Todd DeDecker, Kim Edge, Paul Feather, Melissa Fleming, Marti Fox, Jean Larson, Nancy Pardo, Regina Streett, Barbara Ware, Kitty Wilson, Susan Rainwater, and Suzan Younger (who won the volunteer drawing prize: Free registration to an upcoming DGS Seminar).
