The Dallas Genealogical Society DNA Interest Group (DIG) will meet on Thursday, March 17, 2016 in the Hamon Room (5th floor) of the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library from 6:00 p.m to 7:30 p.m.
Celebrate your DNA ethnic heritage on St. Patrick’s Day as Mic Barnette, SIG Leader, will discuss ethnicity results found in FTDNA (MyOrigins), Ancestry (Ethnicity Estimate), and 23andMe (Ancestry Composition). Review your DNA results and bring your questions. For example, do siblings have the same ethnicity results? Why? Why not?
Remember to try out GedMatch. We will continue with its tools in April. Jean Larson will be our presenter in May.
Daylight savings time today reminds us that summer is on the way. We will discuss whether or not to meet in June, July and August as DGS general meetings and some of the other SIGs take a break.
