Virtual & In-person
Join nationally recognized genealogy author and speaker Sunny Jane Morton for an inspiring program on preserving your own life story as part of our nation’s shared history. As America marks its 250th anniversary, there is no better time to reflect on the experiences, traditions, and moments that connect generations and shape our communities. Sunny will discuss why documenting personal memories matters, how to uncover and expand upon long-forgotten recollections, and techniques for transforming them into engaging, meaningful narratives. Attendees will also receive a life story writing exercise worksheet to help begin preserving their own legacy in their own words. Whether you’re creating a memoir for your family or simply want your story remembered, this session offers practical guidance for ensuring your story becomes part of the historical record.
This Genealogy & History program is available BOTH in-person at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library, 8th floor & Preston Royal Branch Library AND online via Zoom. Register for the Central Library in-person meeting or Zoom link:
