Best Practices Special Interest Group – Virtual Meeting

January 30, 2021 @ 10:30 am - 1:00 pm

The Best Practices SIG (formerly Brown Bag Group) is for genealogists who want to learn advanced methodology skills and techniques.

At this meeting we will be making a transition to a new subject.

  1. We will finish our law discussion briefly on the second article in September 2007 NGS Quarterly on Civil Law.
  2. We will be starting our next long term subject. The book is “Where the Law is: An Introduction to Advances legal Research (Third Edition) Usually Amazon has used books that start around 7 dollars. Don’t buy new, as it is very expensive. We will be learning how to use a law library, and apply the law to our genealogy.

The book on the History of the American Law is excellent and deep. It has been on our list for a long time.
