Clean up, gardening, and socializing is set for Saturday, April 2, 2022. The beautiful and plentiful white Heritage Irises should be in bloom. These were planted more than 100 years ago by pioneers. The biggest documented Post Oak in Dallas County will be proudly present and presiding over us. Work will include moving fallen branches out near the street; a chain saw would be good to cut larger branches. Also, mowing around the irises, getting vines and saplings out of the fence, and making a 8’x8′ planter box for native plants. Things to bring: fire ant killer, hoes, brooms, lawn mower, shovel, rake and a trash bag. For your comfort, please bring your insect repellent, lawn chairs, snacks, sandwiches and water. We will meet at 10:00 AM and break for lunch. Join us before noon to work or visit. (If we are rained out the cleaning day will be the next Saturday.)
