“The presentation will talk about the “Alhambra Decree” issued on March 31,1492 by the Spanish Catholic Monarchs Ferdinand & Isabella, which required Jews to convert to Catholicism or be expelled from Spain. In 2015 the Spanish Congress passed a resolution, “Sephardic Ancestry Law”, which allowed descendants of those Jews forced to convert, or those who were expelled, to apply for Spanish citizenship. This is my story of deciding to apply, the process involved, and my ultimate citizenship –  I’m almost  there.”
