Join us for a short business meeting followed by an Educational Presentation by Paula Perkins.
“Orphan Train Riders: Tracks to Texas & Beyond, All Aboard 1854 to 1929.” One in every 25 Americans has a connection to an Orphan Train rider between 1854 & 1929. Over 200,000 children were relocated from the East to the West coast on trains. Texas was a vital part of this history. Research techniques and resources will be demonstrated in this presentation.
If Covid-19 restrictions permit it we will be meeting in person at the Dallas Public Library. We will be serving light refreshments beginning at 10:30 am.
You can also participate virtually using Zoom. Join the meeting anytime after 10:30 am (US Central Time) using this link: https://zoom.us/j/91943296406?pwd=N09uU3FwWU9zVzNLZXVKVXYyZEJ1Zz09
