Finding Your Roots — Researching Your Female Ancestors (Live Virtual Presentation)

April 8, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Live on Zoom
Presenter: Pat Gordon

One of the biggest challenges in genealogy is the pursuit of female ancestors. This is because the women were so often absorbed into their husband’s families (assuming they got married), taking on their husband’s surnames, and losing their original identities in historical documents.

In Thursday’s program Pat will show us how to overcome these challenges.

Pat Gordon: Is a former newspaper reporter with The Dallas Morning News and recently retired journalism lecturer at the University of Texas at Arlington.  She holds a B.A. in Journalism and M.S. in Media Studies.  She was an original faculty member of Angelina College Genealogy Conference in Lufkin and continues to be a frequent speaker. She has also presented all-day seminars at various Texas genealogical societies.

Registration is required.
