Brenda Posey Watlington was born in Fort Worth, TX and grew up in Arlington. She graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1983 with a BS in Math/Computer Science. She went on to receive an MS in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas. While working more than 30 years as a Computer Software Engineer, she has pursued genealogy as her hobby and passion. Her computer background has been a great advantage as the technology of genealogy has advanced in the last decade. She now resides in Plano, TX and is the Asst. Director of the Plano FamilySearch Center; also working there as a Consultant. She has been a speaker at the Great Family Search Conference sponsored by Richardson and Plano FamilySearch Centers from 2013 to 2022. Recently she has also been a speaker at the Denton Family History Conference and Arlington Texas Family History Seminar.
