Lynn O. Titus was born in Texarkana, Arkansas and grew up in New Boston, TX. Lynn has been researching family genealogy for more than 30 years, from his 8th great grandfather throughout the years and how they ended up in TX. Titus County was named after his family. Lynn Titus is a member of the Grand Prairie Genealogical Society, the Grand Prairie Historical Society, the New Boston Genealogical Society, and the Red River County Genealogical Society.
Mr. Titus will present a first-person reenactment (including costume) of Pioneer James Titus, born in 1775. He will discuss his life story from 1775, growing up as a child, his involvement in politics, his role as a Senator in the Republic of Texas (Sixth and Seventh Congress), and his friendships with Andrew Jackson and Sam Houston.
If you are planning to attend the meeting, it will be in the Inspire Room at the Grand Prairie Memorial Library, 901 Conover, Grand Prairie, TX.
