Arlington Genealogical Society (Virtual Meeting)

October 1, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

6:30 – Meet & Greet

7:00 – Program: Birds of a Feather – Y-DNA Research and Group Projects by Janine Cloud

Y chromosomal DNA passes only from father to son, but while the path of inheritance is simple, choosing which Y test to take can be con-fusing, and using the results once you have them can be even more confusing. Group projects can help alleviate some of that confusion as well as help focus research through comparison with oth-er testers beyond simple one-to-one matching.

Janine Cloud started on the phones at FamilyTreeDNA in 2011 and created the Group Projects team, which she now man-ages, in 2014. She is also the event coordi-nator for FTDNA and has given DNA talks at the local, regional, and national level since 2015. A fifth-generation Texan, Janine is a registered member of the Cher-okee Nation.

This meeting will be conducted using Zoom. Please send email to contactus@arlingtongenealogytx.org to register.
