This organizational meeting of the DNA Interest Group will provide a brief overview of the types of DNA testing, the companies providing the tests, and a recognition of the existence of genetic genealogy standards.  More importantly, we would like to discuss the needs and interests of the attendees for future programming about DNA for genealogy.

The program Topic is X Chromosome. The group will look at Fan Charts, Pedigree Charts and Ahnentafel Reports (some times called Ancestor Reports) to assist in finding which of your lines could have X matches.

We will explore the new DNA book: Genetic Genealogy in Practice by Debbie Parker Wayne and Blaine Bettinger. This book is available through the National Genealogical Society for $30.06 (members) or $36.05 (non-members).
