From the President: 2025 Already?

A New Year calls for a little reflection on the past as well as some thoughts about the upcoming year.

As an organization, we find ourselves in a very good position. Every board position is filled with enthusiastic and capable volunteers who have worked hard to ensure the smooth running of our Society. Our Seminars and other fundraising events have been successful. The documents and records that we have digitized over the years have been viewed more than a million times. Our Blog and our own Volunteer of the Year (way to go Sharon Bowles!) were recognized as best in class by the Texas State Genealogical Society.

The upcoming year promises to be just as successful. We have an outstanding lineup of speakers for our General Meetings and our Seminars. Our technology team will continue to make these events available to constituents near and far. And we will continue to provide targeted and meaningful support to the Genealogy and History Section of the Dallas Public Library that will benefit their patrons as well as the members of our Society.
