Get Ready for RootsTech 2025

Get Ready for RootsTech 2025

by Michelle Dwyer Cohen

RootsTech, the largest genealogy conference in the world, will be held this year from March 6th-8th, both online (free to attend) and in-person ($129 for all three days) in Salt Lake City.

There are hundreds of sessions on the schedule, and you can peruse them and add them to your personal schedule once registered. The sessions cover a broad range of genealogy, including analysis, becoming a professional, ethnic research, immigration, law and ethics, organizing research, preserving your story, record types, and DNA.

A very interesting feature of the event is the Relatives at RootsTech page which compares your family tree to the other attendees and gives you ancestor matches. It is live until April 12, 2025. You must be registered for the event to use Relatives at RootsTech.
