Durrett Family Cemetery
Location: North of Bear Creek Road, ¾ mile, between Houston School Road and Bluegrove, Lancaster, Texas.
This cemetery was inventoried in June 1993 by Lana and Roy Lee Filgo. It is now located on the property of the Hammond Coffman estate. The cemetery is in a heavily wooded and vine covered area. Now abandoned, the markers that remain are the same as Mr. Filgo recalls from many years ago, with some now being broken. This property was in the original G. W. Durrett survey, abstract #389, Dallas County, Texas. The Durrett homeplace was located on the north side of Bear Creek Road between Houston School Road and Bluegrove with the cemetery being about 3/4 mile north of Bear Creek
