Dallas County Deeds

These deed records were recorded by the Dallas County (Texas) Clerk of the County Court between 1846 and 1900.

DGS members began the transcription effort by abstracting the original records located at the Dallas County Records Office. The records were published in a series of articles that appeared in The Quarterly. Links to those articles are provided below.

The Dallas Genealogical Society purchased 130 microfilm rolls containing images of the documents and another 10 rolls that contained images of the Grantor/Grantee Indexes in 1985 at a cost of $2000. These films were donated to the library and are available at the library today: View the Library Catalog Entry

Images of the original documents can be viewed on the Kofile page provided by Dallas County. Finding the Book and page number in the transcriptions first will make locating your record of interest much easier.

Although publication of this Deed Book was supposedly completed on pp. 172 and 173, of our September, 1986 issue, Vol. XXXII, No. 3, pp. 299 through 315 of Deed Book “C,” just located among the records of Deed Book “D,” were not included, and are published herewith in completion of Deed Book “C.”
