Lone Star Family Trails Podcast Library Produced by the Texas State Genealogical Society
by Suzan Younger
The Texas State Genealogical Society launched the Lone Star Family Trails podcast library in April 2022. These podcasts summarize resources, records, and historical context for collections at fourteen archives, libraries, and museums here in Texas. A TxSGS host interviews an expert from each of the institutions, emphasizing how genealogists can use their collections.
The interview lasts between 35 and 45 minutes, just the right amount of time to take a relaxed coffee or tea break during your day. Be sure to listen to episode #112 when Tony Hanson interviews Ari Wilkins about the Lloyd Dewitt Bockstruck Genealogy Collection at the Dallas Public Library.
Here is a list of the guests and their institutions. You can find a brief description of the podcast and links to each of the podcasts here.
