Irish and Scots-Irish Personal Research Consultations
UHF staff members Gillian Hunt and Fintan Mullan will be providing 20-minute private consultations in the McDermott Room at the Dallas Public Library on Sunday, March 16th  from 9:00 am – 2:20 pm. The cost for each session is 39.99 pounds (about $50 at current exchange rates).

Refund Policy: Requests for refunds made prior to the early-bird cutoff date (Feb 23, 2025) will be granted (less a $10 handling fee). DGS will not issue refunds after 5:00 pm on Feb 23, but we will provide a syllabus (PDF) and access to the recorded lectures starting on March 19, 2025.

Fintan Mullan is Executive Director of the Ulster Historical Foundation and has been responsible for the management of this successful Belfast-based, educational non-profit since 2001. He has extensive experience in Irish family history research and is a regular international speaker on Irish genealogy. He has managed the production of over 150 Irish history and genealogy titles, including the perennial favorite, Researching Scots-Irish Ancestors. Fintan has ensured the Foundation has been at the forefront of developments in Irish genealogy, including the provision of online resources. He helped to pioneer www.rootsireland.ie, the unique database with over 22 million Irish historical records. He is one of the directors of Irish Family History Foundation and board member of the National Collection of Northern Ireland Publications.

Gillian Hunt is a Research Officer with the Ulster Historical Foundation and is responsible for the management of the Foundation’s many genealogical activities. She also carries out research for clients.
Gillian is a hugely experienced user of the General Register Office and the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland. She regularly teaches courses in Northern Ireland and gives talks on family history
research internationally. Gillian has been with the Ulster Historical Foundation since 2001 and been co-presenting our annual North American lecture tours since 2013.
