Thank You for a Successful 2020 North Texas Giving Day

September 17th, 2020 was this year’s North Texas Giving Day. DGS members and friends generously gave a total of $1,724!

DGS will use these gifts to help fund a second year’s subscription to the NewspaperArchive.com subscription website in the Genealogy Section at the Dallas Central Public Library. 

When the library re-opens, researchers can access one of the largest online newspaper repositories available. NewspaperArchive.com contains 413 years of newspaper archives, from 1607 to 2020. You will be able to research your family history in newspapers from 47 countries and all 50 U.S. states. As of today, the database includes 15,685+ historical newspaper titles, with more to come. The newspapers are fully searchable, and you can access the newspaper images.
