Celebrate Family History Month with the us
Join us at the Dallas Public Library for a celebration of Family History Month on Friday, October 18, 2019, from 10 am to 8:30 pm.
We will be having:
- Genealogy beginner sessions
- Genealogy collection tours
- Heritage Lab demonstrations
- Eight live virtual programs
- Local presentations
- Exclusive, late night hours for attendees
- Door prizes
Live-streamed programs are provided by the Genealogy Network of Texas.
Volunteers and additional support are provided by the Dallas Genealogical Society.
Come see the Heritage Lab
The Heritage Lab offers specialized equipment to create digital copies of your family treasures. Reserve the piece of equipment that best meets your digitization needs for a three hour session. When converting a video or audio cassette to digital formats, media is converted in real time (a two-hour home movie will take two hours to convert). Be prepared to stay with your project and bring an external hard drive, USB or access to cloud storage to save your work.
