Join our DGS Speakers’ Bureau

Are you interested in becoming a speaker representing DGS at an event, virtually or in person? Wonderful! Let me take you through the process.

We would love to have you join our team! It will give you the opportunity to polish your speaking skills and you will be able to spread the word about our common passion and support DGS in the process.

We are most often asked by local groups to do a beginner’s presentation about how to get started in researching. To make this easier on those who are willing, we have a PowerPoint presentation on building a family tree already prepared.

Over the winter, we plan to add more presentations on a variety of topics. These presentations will be there for you as a presenter to use as they are or modify to suit your individual style.

Let us know if you have done any genealogy presentations before, or any other kind of public speaking. We will identify opportunities based upon your experience, and can arrange some practice sessions with other speakers before your event.
